Present study aims at investigating the relationship between organizational learning and employees’ empowerment. Organizational learning consists of such components as structure, strategy culture, and perspective based on Neefe’s theory while employees’ empowerment is considered based on introduced components by Spritz including effectiveness, significance, meritocracy, independence and trust. Present study is conducted by a descriptive survey and its population consists of management and employees in Qom Maskan Bank selected branches. In this research, 120 questionnaires were distributed by layered random sampling method and finally 100 ones were returned and analyzed. To gather data, the first questionnaire involves 12 items based on Neefe’s components while the second one (employees’ empowerment) involves Spritz indices that their validity can be supported. Chronbach’s alpha value is used to measure reliability as 0.93 and 0.94 for organizational learning and employees’ empowerment respectively. To analyze research data in SPSS and Amos software packages, such techniques as Spearman correlation coefficient, regression analysis and structural equations are used. The findings support research conceptual model and show that there is an association between organizational learning and employees’ empowerment.

The subject of “participatory” and “observing” societies in the area of politics and society throughout the world is associated with the topic of “people participation in determining destiny” and “monitoring the performance of government and states” and this has been studied since many years ago from the perspectives of sociologists and lawyers in their specialized aspects. The significant issue prior to the study and dealing with the subject of people supervision over the performance of governments is that to the extent that the circulation of information is done freely, and also to the extent that the volume of information transferred among the people (either through websites, news agencies and governmental media or through social networks) is greater, to the same extent (not only the promotion of people’s information rate towards issues around them in the society and quality of their perception of the incidents will be deeper but also the sense of peoples’ participation and responsibility acceptance vis-à-vis society and other citizens and hope in determination of their destiny will increase. So, in this article, efforts have been made to provide a clear elaboration of the subject of “people participation” and its connection with the “supervision over the performance of governments and rulers” and the necessity of this supervision from the viewpoint of Islam and scientific theories.

The main objective of this study is to investigate the defects and problems of the ABC system and to offer a modern costing method called BBC system that is free from ABC problems. In the present study, 20 of the most important shortcomings of the ABC system based on previous research are listed. BBC system uses several techniques in order to solve these problems. First, instead of classification of overhead costs based on activity, it separates them based on their behavior (fixed, variable and semi-variable). Then for accumulation of costs, it uses a number of files (large pools) and folders (small pools) whose number depends on the diversity of products. Then in order to enhance the accuracy of the allocation, instead of using univariate driver, it uses multivariate driver. Because of solving 12 shortcomings of the ABC system entirely and seven shortcomings partially, BBC system is considered as a superior system compared with ABC.

It is highly respected not only in individual but also in organizational areas while in addition to psychological fields; it is entered into other human science areas including management. In present paper, different definitions are provided on spiritual intelligence and then its components and aspects are studied in the perspective of different practitioners and finally the ways to promote, grow and enhance spiritual intelligence are pointed out. Author’s broad investigations indicate that there is no consensus on the aspects and components of spiritual intelligence and he believes that such heterogeneity is due to different definitions by connoisseurs on spirituality and their different values and cultures.

This paper investigates two-stage competition with two joint-stock firms. In the first stage, each firm independently chooses a level of capacity. In the second stage, each firm independently chooses an output. The paper shows that each firm’s reaction function has a kink at its installed capacity level. In addition, the paper considers interactions between a joint-stock incumbent and a potential joint-stock entrant as well as a pair of established joint-stock firms. The paper demonstrates that there exist cases in which the joint-stock incumbent can deter entry by the potential joint-stock entrant.

The main objective of this study is to identify the variables that reduce the audit expectation gap and to prescribe a model in doing so in Bangladeshi context. Prominent researchers from various countries suggested several factors in reducing the audit expectation gap. Out of whom only the impact of audit education and the implementation of Financial Reporting Act regulations (FRA-2015 of Bangladesh) have been studied so far in Bangladesh; which indicates the research gap. This motivated the current study in identifying the holistic view for drawing a rigorous conclusion. In doing so, Likert 5 point scale based structured questionnaire has been randomly surveyed to 50 respondents including 20 university faculty members of accounting and auditing discipline; 10 qualified and practicing Chartered Accountants; and a group of 20 articled students of accounting bodies from Bangladesh. Principal component tool of factor analysis and Pearson’s correlation analysis have been employed in analyzing the collected data. Correlation results prove that the identified variables reduce the audit expectation gap significantly and factor analysis strongly recommends a model that reduces the audit expectation gap in Bangladesh.

The healthcare industry in developing nations has chronicled high development rate in our current dispensation. This study sought to identify the most critical factors in hospitals related service delivery quality that will drive loyalty and hence ensure the survival and success of the hospital in the future; it ideally tested if the satisfaction of a patient had any role to play in such relationship. This study was conducted using data from (562) patients who received services from (4) four major but different private hospitals in Ghana. The five Service Quality dimensions; Tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy, patient satisfaction and loyalty to the hospital were the variables well-thought-out for this study. A path analysis was done utilizing SmartPLS V3.2.8; a second-generation multivariate data analysis method (PLS-SEM) in order to compute path coefficients, direct and indirect effects of the variables on patient's satisfaction and also loyalty to the hospital. The study prompted that empathy, responsiveness and tangibility (not assurance and reliability) impact patients’ satisfaction and patient's satisfaction is directly related to patients’ loyalty to the hospital/clinic.

This paper examines the impact of Domestic Investment and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) on economic growth of India for the period 1980-2013 by employing the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) methodology. Domestic Investment was broken down into Private investment and Public Investment. The Augmented Dickey Fuller (ADF) test for unit root, Johansen Cointegration test, VECM, Short run Causality and Impulse Response Function (IRF) were the tools of analysis employed by the study. ADF test for unit root result shows all variables to be integrated of order one I (1), i.e. they became stationary after taking first difference. Johansen Cointegration Trace and Max-Eigen Value test shows the presence of cointegration (long run relationship) among the variables. Normalised long run estimates showed Private Domestic Investment and FDI to have a positive and significant relationship with economic growth. The relationship between Labour and economic growth was positive, though statistically insignificant, while Public investment was found to have an insignificant negative relationship with economic growth of India. Short run dynamics of the model shows Private Domestic Investment to have a significant positive relationship with Economic Growth, while FDI was found to have a short run negative impact. Other variables were found to be statistically significant in the short run. Short run Causality result confirms the presence of a short run causal relationship between Private Domestic Investment and FDI with economic growth, running from the variables to economic growth. Impulse Response Function (IRF) showed the response of GDP to a unit standard deviation innovation/ shock on Private Domestic Investment, FDI and Labour to be positive, while the response to shock in Public Investment was negative. Policy recommendations of the study to the government include the enhancement of Private Domestic Investment by removal of bottlenecks to private investment such as high interest rates, excessive taxation. The government should also encourage more FDI inflows through the creation of enabling and friendly environment to do business in India.

The current research aims to discover the impact of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial intentions of undergraduate students. This is achieved through individual factors (attitude towards behavior, entrepreneurial motivation, entrepreneurial resource and perceived behavioral control) and entrepreneurship education. A quantitative survey design was used to collect information from a study sample of 255 undergraduate agriculture science students from the College of Agriculture Education, Mampong - University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. Results indicated that individual factors and entrepreneurship education have a direct positive influence on entrepreneurial intentions. Also, entrepreneurship education moderates the influence of individual factors on entrepreneurial intentions among undergraduate students. In conclusion, using agriculture science students, entrepreneurship education plays a major role in equipping and enhancing students with entrepreneurial knowledge and developing entrepreneurial interest among undergraduate students. The practical implications and future scope are discussed as well.

Over the years, there has been unresolved debate in the literature and studies have generated mixed results on the direction of influence between trade liberalization and trade tax revenue. Against this background, this study examined the causal nexus between trade liberalization and trade tax revenue in Nigeria with data spanning 1986 to 2014 with a view to determining whether there is any complementarity between trade policy and revenue generation drive of the Nigerian government. Utilizing a bi-variate VAR model, the study observed a unidirectional causation from trade tax revenue to trade liberalization. Base on this finding, the study recommended the need for efficient implementation and functioning of trade policy and to de-emphasize the focus on crude-oil in order to ensure the successful performance of trade liberalization policy. In addition, the implementation of the trade liberalization policy should be guided to mitigate any adverse consequence.

Employee psychological wellbeing has increasingly become a serious problem for organizations’ managers and policymakers globally. The purpose of this paper is to propose a theoretical framework and advance propositions to be validated empirically in future researches. This paper explicates the influence of transformational leadership through self-efficacy on employee psychological wellbeing among faculty staff of HEIs. Being a conceptual paper, it reviewed academic articles on the latent variables of the study in line with theoretical perspectives. The study draws deduction from job demands-resources theory to explain and provide backing for the theoretical model. The paper will assist managers and policymakers, particularly the universities’ management to comprehend the theoretical importance of employee psychological wellbeing in enhancing performance of academics. The paper would stimulate additional studies on employee psychological wellbeing of workers, especially in HEIs. Also, the suggested model would offer several implications for comprehending and supporting employee psychological wellbeing in organizations. More so, this study adds to existing literature on wellbeing
