Ecological behavior is defined as actions which contribute towards environmental preservation and/or conservation. Owing to an increasing awareness in environmental crises, consumers are more sensitive towards green products when making their purchasing decisions. The young generation seems to have a different attitude and belief which enables them to reflect on their choice of green products. The aim of this study is to investigating the determinants and outcomes of ecological behaviors of young consumers in Iran. The population of this study consisted of all students of the main universities of Ardabil city in Iran including University of Mohaghegh Ardabili, Islamic Azad University of Ardabil, New Novin Institution of Higher Education and Moghadas Ardabili Institution of Higher Education. According to the unlimited population, the sample size was determined 379 based on the Morgan table, that using non-probability sampling method was selected. Standard questionnaires have been used to measure the research variables. Smart PLS software was used for data analysis. According to the results, environmental knowledge, healthy food and healthy lifestyle have a positive effect on the ecological behaviors of the consumers. Moreover, ecological behaviors of the consumers have a positive effect on green purchase behavior and green purchase intention. This research is one of the few studies that has been conducted on green consumer behavior in developing countries and can provide practical implications for promoting such behaviors in the society.

In the intricate and dynamic landscape of the Crude Oil Products Industry, it is imperative for companies to comprehend customer needs and desires thoroughly. This understanding enables proactive responses to customer needs, fostering enduring, mutually beneficial business relationships, and leveraging customer dissatisfaction as opportunities for service recovery and retention. This study aimed to develop a B2B customer complaint management model for Iraq’s crude oil products industry, employing a mixed-exploratory research method. The qualitative phase encompassed documentary analysis and theme analysis, revealing several critical components as influential factors in the customer complaint management model through literature review and in-depth interviews. The quantitative phase utilized Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) to identify and evaluate these key components. The ISM analysis provided valuable insights into the hierarchical relationships and influences of these factors, identifying timely product delivery and effective customer interaction as the most influential factors at the highest level.

The main purpose of the research is to determine the factors that influence agency costs in listed non-bank financial institutions of Bangladesh. The following eight factors have been considered in this study: board size, percentage of independent directors, and percentage of female directors under board characteristics; percentage of managerial ownership, institutional ownership, and foreign ownership under ownership structure; and leverage and firm size under firm characteristics. To measure agency costs, the asset utilization ratio (AUR) and expense ratio (ER) have been used as proxies. The regression results demonstrate that board size, institutional ownership and leverage are all inversely and significantly associated to agency costs, but managerial ownership has a significant and positive relationship. On the other hand, no significant relationship has been found among the percentage of independent directors, female directors and firm size with agency costs. However, the nature of the relationship between the percentage of foreign ownership and agency costs could not be generalized. The findings of this study will assist financial institution executives in Bangladesh in understanding the existing factors that influence agency costs and will help them in reducing agency costs by identifying and addressing the causes.

Agriculture is one of the most important sectors and driving factors of the economy of Bangladesh, which plays a significant role in the prosperity of large rural communities by increasing productivity, income, and creating employment. Presently, this sector has faced a severe challenge in its production, due to the construction of unplanned infrastructure in rural areas. This study investigates the effect of rural infrastructure on agricultural production in Bangladesh. Using the purposive sampling technique, 50 respondents were interviewed through a structured questionnaire to collect primary data from six unions of Sadar Upazila in the Kushtia district. Statistical methods of multiple regression and paired-sample t-test have been utilized to analyze the collected data. The results of the multiple regression model show that the co-efficient of cultivable and infrastructural land size is statistically significant at 1 percent of level, which depicts cultivable land positively affects agricultural production, whereas infrastructural land negatively affects agricultural production in the study area. This means that infrastructure built on cultivable land has reduced agricultural production. Paired-sample t-test result also shows that the mean difference between agricultural production before and after constructing infrastructure is TK.134847.94 per year. The primary reasons for the construction of infrastructure in the study area are unanticipated population expansion, urbanization, unplanned human settlement, and a rise in nuclear families. Lastly, suitable policies have been offered to develop the infrastructure as well as agricultural production in rural areas.

Entrepreneurial intention is an important concept for understanding and promoting entrepreneurship. It is a strong predictor of entrepreneurial behavior, and it can lead to a number of positive benefits for individuals, society, and the economy. This study aims to examine the impact of entrepreneurial intention (EI) on entrepreneurial orientation (EO). It also examines the intervening role of environmental uncertainty (EU). The data were collected from 150 entrepreneurs from active enterprises in the 3 major cities of Pakistan. The information was gathered through a closed-ended questionnaire. Partial least squares structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data. According to the findings, EI impacts positively on EO and EU. Furthermore, EU plays a significant intervening role between EI and EO. The results of this study offer valuable information that the owners of businesses and the Ministry of Commerce may use to support entrepreneurial activities in Pakistan. This may ensure the efficient operation and elimination of organizations' failure to appropriately launch their businesses.

This study examines accounting ethics' impact on financial report quality and decision-making Kabul based logistic corporations in Afghanistan. Accounting ethics is such an important aspect of the field since accounting ethics is a matter of rules and values. Accounting ethics is mainly an area of applied ethics and is part of corporate ethics and human ethics, financial reporting consistency is a mindset, not a collection of particular activities. For making a decision, a good manager needs to be practical but confident when executing it. Unfortunately, some know-how, at the right moment, to switch from realism to optimism. There for the study examines the effect of accounting ethics on financial report quality and decision making. Totally 30 valid questionnaires, which were collected through Google Form, were analyzed by SPSS 24. To examine the suggested hypotheses, correlation analysis, and linear regression analysis were employed. For examining the reliability of adopted scales, Cronbach's Alpha was used. The study results demonstrated that accounting ethics significantly positively impact financial report quality and decision-making in Kabul-based logistic corporations. This study's findings fill the gap in Afghanistan's accounting literature by empirically investigating accounting ethics' impact on financial report quality and decision-making Kabul based logistic corporations.

Efficient marketing will prosper the actors in each marketing agency, producers and consumers. Efficiency will be created if marketing costs can be minimized so that the percentage of producer prices to consumers is not too large, and there is no gap in the profit ratio to marketing costs between marketing agencies. The study aims to analyze marketing efficiency of tangerines and siamese in Gadingkulon Village. Data were collected from 87 citrus farmers who were selected by simple random sampling. Traders were determined by snowball sampling, consist of 17 collectors, 5 wholesalers, and 7 retailers were selected. Data were edited in the field, tabulated, compiled, then presented in tabular form, analyzed and described. The results showed that tangerines and siamese in Gadingkulon Village had an imperfect competitive market structure which was monopolistic. Marketing of the two types of oranges involves four channels i.e. collectors, retailers (inside and outside Malang Regency), and wholesalers. Oranges marketing system is not yet efficient, where wholesalers have larger profit margin ratio than other market players. Marketing channels I and II for tangerines are more efficient than channels III and IV. Meanwhile, marketing channel I for siamese is more efficient than channel II, III, and IV.

This study explores the relationship between corporate governance traits and discretionary accruals among non-financial firms listed in NSE. Our study discovered that the board size has a relatively insignificant negative impact on the discretionary accruals of non-financial firms listed in the NSE using a sample of 44 publicly traded non-financial firms based on 2012-2021 data. The findings on board independence indicate a significant positive relationship at 10% significance. The results suggest that board independence doesn't reduce discretionary accruals in non-financial firms listed in NSE Kenya. The CEO duality, on the other hand, revealed a statistically positive insignificant effect on discretionary accruals, contrary to expectations. The research findings also pointed to income-decreasing accruals earnings management as depicted by a mean of -.083 discretionary accruals in the descriptive statistics. On the effects of board meetings on discretionary accruals, the study found an insignificant negative relationship. The findings of this study may be useful for regulators to re-evaluate their laws and mandates regarding firms and their corporate governance structure, as well as for legislators who have the power to nominate board members to select competent and knowledgeable personnel.

Business model is one of the available structures of organizational management for developing competitive advantage. The purpose of this study is an analytical scrutiny with fuzzy approach on the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA)' business model ontology. To study the cause-and-effect relationships and prioritize the dimensions and components of the proposed framework, fuzzy DNAP method (combination of DEMATEL and Analytic Network Process (ANP) in a fuzzy environment) has used. A pairwise questionnaire of dimensions and components dispatch among 13 experts aware of management accounting and business models issues. The experts were selected using the judgmental and purposeful sampling method. The results show that the dimensions of value delivery, value capture, value creation and value definition ranked first to fourth, respectively. The value definition dimension also has a greater impact than other dimensions and the value delivery dimension has a greater impact intensity. In the general evaluation, it was found that the component “Explaining how to use technology in presenting the created values” and the component of “Determining the value propositions” are of the highest and lowest level, respectively. According to the research findings, Management accountants, as consultants and business partners, should be on the ontology of the business model of the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) in order to provide better guidance to management, emphasis and pay more attention to priority dimensions and components.

The main purpose of the study is to discover the impact of working capital indices on the organizational performance of small manufacturing firms in Bangladesh. This study was mainly conducted based on a quantitative research method while data collection was performed by researchers themselves with face-to-face interviews of owners and managers from nine manufacturing sectors. Data were collected from 98 manufacturing small enterprises from four different districts conveniently based on access priority. Data analysis was performed using SPSS, and simple OLS model was developed based on regression analysis to understand the impact level, while correlation and descriptive statistics were produced to understand the scenario and relationship among the variables. This study found that days receivable outstanding (DRO), current ratio (CR), networking capital turnover (NWCT) have a direct impact on the profitability of the firm while days’ inventory outstanding (DIO) is not a determining factor for the financial performance of those firms. This study has practical implications in the field of small manufacturing industries in Bangladesh as well as in developing countries for managing working capital in their firms.

This study examines the underexplored link between auditor well-being and audit quality within the auditing profession, an area of critical importance for maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of audit processes. Despite extensive research on various determinants of audit quality, such as organizational factors, auditor competency, and technological support, there remains a significant gap in understanding the impact of auditor well-being, particularly as measured by established psychological scales like the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale (WEMWBS). This research employs a quantitative approach, utilizing a structured survey instrument to collect data from 360 auditors across international accounting firms in three southern African countries. Through confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modelling, this study provides empirical evidence supporting the positive relationship between auditor well-being and audit quality. The findings highlight the crucial role of auditor well-being in enhancing audit performance, underscoring the need for auditing firms to prioritize supportive work environments that foster auditor well-being. The implications of this research extend to organizational strategies and interventions aimed at improving auditor well-being, thereby contributing to the enhancement of audit quality and the overall integrity of the auditing profession.

In this rapidly changing environment, organizations need to preserve their competitive position by committing to corporate governance practices and facilitating learning capabilities. This study aims to investigate the influence of corporate governance on competitive advantage through organizational learning at different Jordanian industrial companies listed on the Amman Stock Exchange. In order to evaluate the relationships, a questionnaire with 52 Likert scale items is designed based on previous studies. The questionnaire is distributed randomly to the top and middle managers working at Jordanian industrial companies registered on the Amman Stock Exchange. The collected data are analyzed using multiple linear regression tests along with Baron and Kenney’s approach to finding that all factors of corporate governance significantly impact competitive advantage and that organizational learning partially mediates the relationship between corporate governance and competitive advantage. The study can fill the literature gap by exploring the mediating impact of organizational learning on the relationship between corporate governance and competitive advantage.

The influence of transformational leadership (TL) on employee turnover intention (ETI) in SMEs is explored in this research, including the mediating and moderating function of affective organizational commitment (AC) and job embeddedness (JE). Data was obtained from 456 workers of SMEs using convenience sampling. The numerous associations were estimated using Smart PLS structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). The study's findings indicate that transformative leadership and ETI have a negative and substantial association. Consequently, AC and JE mediated the association between transformative leadership and employee turnover intention. Lastly, the transformative leadership and employee turnover connections are favorably moderated by job embeddedness. To improve JE and AC and reduce employee turnover, SMEs should implement transformational leadership abilities such as developing a compelling vision for the workforce, fixating on goal attainment, having conflict approaches, a feeling of belonging, and interacting on staff professional development. Leaders should employ transformational leadership traits include creating a vision statement for employees, emphasizing on desired outcomes, implementing challenge solutions, having a purpose and direction, and devoting time to team professional development.

In the last two decades, research on investigating factors influencing the consumer repurchase intention has advanced and become an important topic in the marketing society and literature. The objective of this paper is to compare the weight of service providers’ personality traits and service quality performances they provide to uncover the primary factor influencing a clients’ intention to revisit their beauty salon in a long-term relationship. The SERVQUAL model of service quality and Mini-Marker model of personality were employed to substantiate the hypothesized relationship. Based on 453 valid respondents from beauty salons’ visitors, empirical finding remarkably indicate that the hairstylist’s personality was the primary reason for clients to revisit beauty salons. The results demonstrate that the factors such as agreeableness, intellect, conscientiousness and extraversion respectively have been prioritized as the most effective reasons for re-visitation in the view of customers. From the service quality side, the dimension of tangibility is ranked as the first reason to revisit the beauty salon. Overall, the outcome of this study can be applied to beauty salons’ management process in the line with building a strong long-term customer relationship and in return sustain profitability.

Customer contact points are known as the building blocks of the customer experience and for designing and enhancing the customer experience. The purpose of this study is to investigate the causal relationships between customer contact points and word of mouth through customer experience in the insurance industry in 2021. The present study is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-correlational in terms of implementation method. This survey included Mashhad insurance clients. As the number of customers is unlimited, the sample size 384 was calculated using Morgan table. Samples were selected using the non-probability Convenience sampling method. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to determine the validity of the questionnaires. The reliability of the questionnaires was obtained using Cronbach's alpha coefficient for all research variables above 0.7. Structural equation method was employed using PLS software. The results showed that customer contact points and their dimensions affect customer experience. Customer experience also had a significant effect on word of mouth. Ultimately, the customer experience mediated the impact of customer contact points and their dimensions on word of mouth. Finally, suggestions were presented based on the research findings.

There is a huge opportunity for foreign entrepreneurs to enter the Chinese market. They have noted that the market is difficult to enter and complex to navigate. This study contributes towards filling this gap by identifying the critical success factors for foreigners in China, basing on entrepreneurial cognition and opportunity recognition theories. 128 entrepreneurs in China were surveyed through semi-structured interviews. Their responses were collated and analyzed using graph theoretic matrix approach to identify and rank the factors with the most influence on their business success. The factors with the greatest influence on the success of foreign entrepreneurs are government policies and funding. Government policies towards innovation through financing for technology companies and the demographic make-up of the consumer population provide the greatest opportunities for foreigners. By understanding the most crucial success factors and the role of cognition in opportunity recognition, entrepreneurs and managers can derive meaningful insights into strategic choices regarding doing business in China. This study addresses a grossly under-researched topic of global entrepreneurs in China. Not only is there a large number of foreigners living in China, but they also find great difficulty in adjusting to the cultural scene and this affects business outcomes. Furthermore, GTMA is a highly scientific method that the authors show is valuable in social science research, particularly entrepreneurship research

This paper has tried to assess the impact of COVID-19 on stock return in different sectors listed under Dhaka Stock Exchange in Bangladesh during the period from 08 March 2020 to 15 September 2020. To measure the impact of COVID-19 on stock return, daily change in number of confirmed cases and deaths have been used as independent variables and DSE stock return has been taken as variable of interest. Data were collected from Bangladesh Government’s official portal, DSE archive and annual reports of listed firms. Sample is selected using two stage sampling method which is a probabilistic model. To test the validity of the used model, Pearson’s correlations analysis, Breusch and Pagan’s heteroscedasticity test, White’s homoscedasticity test and Hausman’s fixed random tests are conducted. After testing the validity, fixed effect method of panel data regression model has been used to test the two hypotheses. The result reveals that most of the sectors responded negatively to the growth in COVID-19 confirmed cases. It is also observed that selected sectors reacted more proactively to the growth in number of deaths as compared to the growth in number of confirmed cases. Where banking and textile sectors are the most sufferers to the growth of both confirmed cases and deaths, pharmaceuticals & chemicals industry proved out to be the gainers. The findings will have policy implications for the regulators as well as for the investors to design the optimum portfolio of investment. The study will add new dimensions to the existing literature.

This research aims to identify the most accurate model for predicting bankruptcy in the banking industry in Indonesia. The three models used in this study are the Altman X-Score, Springate S-Score, and Zmijewski Z-Score models. The population used consists of all banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The data used are secondary data in the form of financial reports from 2012 to 2022. The methodology employed includes hypothesis testing using tests for normality, homogeneity, and one-way ANOVA. The research findings indicate that the Z-Score model is the most suitable and accurate model for predicting bankruptcy, with an accuracy rate of 85.53%. The S-Score model achieved an accuracy rate of 14.47%, while the X-Score model did not provide significant accuracy. The implications of the findings are that if the Z-Score model can be used to evaluate the financial health of banks and provide concrete preventive actions before bankruptcy occurs.

Public universities have recognized the power they hold as influential entities within communities, and with this power comes the responsibility to select suppliers who share on their vision. By prioritizing sustainability in their procurement strategies, universities can lessen their environmental impact and serve as examples for other organizations. Embracing sustainability in supplier selection requires the acknowledgement of the interrelatedness between economic, social, and environmental factors. It mandates organizations to consider long-term consequences of traditional purchasing considerations, such as cost and quality, rather than short-term gains. However, the absence of clear guidelines and policies on sustainable supplier selection results in inefficiencies in decision-making within most universities. Consequently, their ability to prioritize partnerships with eco-friendly, socially responsible, and economically viable suppliers is hindered. The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of sustainable supplier selection (SSS) on the procurement performance of public universities. A cross-sectional research design was employed, utilizing a population of 40 employees from the procurement department, selected from ten chartered public universities in Kenya. The findings revealed that public universities have embraced sustainable supplier selection, although to varying degrees. Moreover, the coefficient of determination was 0.472 implying that the sustainable supplier selection criteria used by the universities accounted for 47.2% of their procurement performance. The study constitutes a model utility for fostering sustainable procurement practices within the confines of public universities. It recommends the development of robust approaches to evaluating supplier environmental and social performance that could significantly heighten business sustainability levels.

The main mechanism of market economy – competition – has forced organizations to search factors influencing advertising effectiveness. Relying on the maxim “unseen – unsold”, the visual impression of advertising becomes crucially important. First visual impressions do often influence mid- and long-term human behavior and are influenced by factors such as context or visual complexity. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of visual layout complexity of advertising on consumers’ attentional resources engaged in processing an advertisement as well as evaluation and classification time of the advertisement regarding different levels of visual layout complexity. To reach the aim of the article, P300 event-related brain potential is recorded and analyzed. In the context of visual complexity of advertising, recording and analysis of P300 component reveal whether high visual advertising complexity leads to more attentional resources engaged in processing an advertisement as well as whether advertisement with high visual complexity is evaluated and classified slower. Moreover, questionnaire research is provided for the participants in order to assess the differences in attitudes towards the brands advertised with different layout complexity levels. As a research results, the effect of visual advertising complexity on cognitive processes such as attention allocation and its influence on the attitude toward the object is revealed and the managerial implications for creating effective advertising are provided.

Nowadays, the study of the share of households' health expenditures in their total consumption expenditures and its impact on the well-being of households and society has become an important issue as it is applied in policy and planning by government officials. This paper aims to examine the impact of changes in the share of health expenditures in the basket of total household consumption expenditures and to show that small changes in the variable have significant effects on consumption, desirability, and, consequently, the well-being of society. The results of this modelling suggest that a decrease in the share of household health expenditures leads to an increase in other household expenditures and, consequently, increases household welfare by an increasing utility. The reason for this is that by increasing its health and medical expenditures, the household must reduce its consumption of other goods, which decreases its total utility. It should be noted that this decrease is due to the fact that households are less inclined to spend a larger share of their total consumption expenditure on health services. An increase in the share of households' health expenditures in their total expenditures leads to a decrease in welfare, and a decrease in this share increases household welfare. However, factors such as the inefficiency of the insurance system, poor health system monitoring, and problems in accessing and using health services can have a major impact on households' acceptance, desire, and use of health services and should be considered a serious problem.

In the accounting position, there has been a great deal of spotlight on the utilization of blockchain innovation, particularly in developing countries, where apparently remarkable assumptions ought to be acknowledged in the near future. The objective of this study is to recognize the prerequisites that should be met for the effective execution of blockchain innovation in developing nations. Our study was directed with regard to Iran, a developing nation. A qualitative research method (thematic method) was employed for this study, with the statistical population comprising blockchain, information technology, and accounting specialists in Iran. By using purposeful and snowball sampling techniques, we collected a total of 20 samples. We conducted semi-structured interviews to gather data for later analysis. The result of this study revealed that IT infrastructure, institutional, social, strategic, and organizational requirements are all crucial prerequisites for the successful deployment of blockchain technology in the accounting industry in developing countries. The study offers a blockchain implementation roadmap for the accounting industry.

Training and development activity is indispensable for the survival of any type of organization especially service-oriented organization where the skills of the workforce should be continuously upgraded for the survival of the cut-throat competition. Unfortunately, this function is not given equal emphasis in the banking sector. The present study attempts to discover any statistically significant perceptual differences among public, private, and foreign banks regarding development and training programs in the selected banking enterprises in Bangladesh. The study reveals that there are statistically significant perceptual differences among public, private, and foreign bank employees regarding different contents of training and development programs in some selected banking enterprises in Bangladesh. The study further investigated that selected foreign bankers’ perception of various components of training and development programs is better in comparison to the perception of public and private bankers of Bangladesh. Finally, the study finding implies that private and public banks should put greater emphasis on their training and development programs.

Vannamei shrimp farming on a mini-scale plastic pond ("busmetik") in Pasuruan Regency has been implemented since 2015. This study aims to analyze financial feasibility and potential for busmetik development in this region. The research was conducted in three sub-districts with a population of 120 farmers. Sample was determined by simple random sampling and 37 farmers were selected. Data collected through interviews, and analyzed by financial feasibility and SWOT. The results showed that busmetik vannamei shrimp farming in Pasuruan Regency was feasible to be developed based on investment criteria: R/C and B/C greater than one, short payback period, BEP price and production lower than real price and production, positive NPV, and IRR is higher than bank interest rate. Sensitivity analysis on the decline in production and prices by 20% resulted in the conclusion that this business is just feasible. Analysis of internal factors (IFE) and external factors (EFE) resulted in six strategies for developing vannamei shrimp farming business with busmetik technology. Those strategies were to classify product sizes based on quality; increase production volume with optimal land use; integrated production management; product differentiation; training program planning; and work with third parties for assistance. Government and investors can promote the business by supporting financing, providing integrated production management training in order to increase production and income of farmers.

The aim of this research is to examine the impact of learning organization on innovation, mediated by the self-efficacy among Multinationals in Malaysia. This study builds on the conceptual framework and further analyses the important factors of learning organization in predicting individual innovation and self-efficacy through critical evaluation of associated theoretical models, literature study and empirical testing. Due to the respondents' proximity, availability and accessibility, this study has used non-probability convenience sampling technique. Data was collected using a Likert-Scale (1-5) questionnaire from 308 who were employed at Multinationals. The reliability and validity of the item construct was tested. A structural equation modelling was carried out to analyse the data via AMOSE 22. The findings indicated that learning organization has a positive significant influence on innovation and self-efficacy. However, the result showed that self-efficacy has no significant effect on innovation. The result showed that the mediating effect of self-efficacy on the relationship between learning organization and innovation was not significant. The overall conclusion is that innovation can be cultivated and enhanced through learning organisation. The theoretical contribution of this research is that learning organisation and self-efficacy are two key determinants of innovation. Practically, this research findings can be used to design training and development programs to enhance learning organisational culture among the employees which in turn engage themselves in innovative behaviour. Managers can also use this research findings to identify and deciding to allocate resource to enhance innovation through most critical aspects of learning organisation than all aspects.
