The main results of this study are: (i) the population have a positive and significant impact on economic growth while the capital has a positive but no significant effect on economic growth. (ii) For the environment, population growth has a positive and significant effect on CO2 emissions, the urbanization is negatively and significantly contributed to CO2 emissions, but trade openness has no effect on CO2 emissions. What is concluded that the effect of the population depends on other factors such as aging, hierarchical structure and the economic level of the country?}, keywords = {CO2 Emissions,Economic Growth, population growth, panel data,GMM system}, url = {https://www.ijmae.com/article_114059.html}, eprint = {https://www.ijmae.com/article_114059_718ba30ad95c52292af29bef9f7accc4.pdf} } @article { author = {Khan, Saif and Khan, Hashim and Khan, Faisal}, title = {Firms Audit Committee and External Auditor Influence on Accounting Conservatism and Firm's Performance}, journal = {International Journal of Management, Accounting and Economics}, volume = {6}, number = {1}, pages = {22-47}, year = {2019}, publisher = {Mashhad: Behzad Hassannezhad Kashani}, issn = {2383-2126}, eissn = {2383-2126}, doi = {}, abstract = {In this study we have examined the effect of internal audit committee and external auditor quality on accrual-based measures of accounting conservatism, and the benefits of accounting conservatism on firms’ market performance. Moreover, this study also investigates whether the accrual-based conservatism mediate the relationship between audit committee and external auditor quality factors with market-based firms’ performance. A total of 543 sample firms are selected from the Bursa Malaysia for the period from 2004 to 2013. For data analysis, panel data methodology is employed and structural equation modeling (SEM) technique is used to test the developed hypotheses of this study. Results show that audit committee effectiveness and external auditor quality found to be significant with two-year-lagged effect on accrual-based measure of conservatism. Furthermore, accrual-based measure of conservatism mediated the relationship between (a) audit committee effectiveness and market-based firms’ performance, and (b) external auditor quality and market-based firms’ performance. The present study explores the relationship between export market orientation and export performance of home appliances exporting companies in Tehran, Iran. A total of 85 companies were selected from the list of 734 exporters of Tehran in 2016. Two standard questionnaires were utilized including export market orientation (Nagy & Beracs, 2012), and export performance of exporting companies (Lin, Huang & Peng, 2014) whose reliability and validity indices were assessed through Cronbach's alpha coefficient and content validity approach, respectively. Also, in order to test the main hypothesis of the research, Smart PLS was used. The results of this study demonstrated a positive and direct relationship between export market orientation and export performance.
