In this rapidly changing environment, organizations need to preserve their competitive position by committing to corporate governance practices and facilitating learning capabilities. This study aims to investigate the influence of corporate governance on competitive advantage through organizational learning at different Jordanian industrial companies listed on the Amman Stock Exchange. In order to evaluate the relationships, a questionnaire with 52 Likert scale items is designed based on previous studies. The questionnaire is distributed randomly to the top and middle managers working at Jordanian industrial companies registered on the Amman Stock Exchange. The collected data are analyzed using multiple linear regression tests along with Baron and Kenney’s approach to finding that all factors of corporate governance significantly impact competitive advantage and that organizational learning partially mediates the relationship between corporate governance and competitive advantage. The study can fill the literature gap by exploring the mediating impact of organizational learning on the relationship between corporate governance and competitive advantage.

Organizations are facing increasing pressure to consider the environmental impact of their industrial operations, particularly in high-polluting industries. Supply chain management is now being utilized more frequently to address the environmental pollution challenges that arise due to industrial development. Despite the implementation of environmental management policies, sugar companies in Western Kenya are still encountering disputes with local communities due to pollution caused by their production processes. Experts suggest that the incorporation of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) strategies may be effective in reducing the environmental impact of manufacturing processes. However, the effectiveness of these strategies had not been examined through empirical research. As a result, this study aimed to investigate the impact of GSCM practices on the environmental performance of Western Kenya's sugar manufacturing firms. A survey was conducted using an explanatory design, with 127 respondents drawn from various departments within the organizations. The reliability of the survey instruments was evaluated using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The findings revealed that R2 for GSCM practices was 0.684 (p=0.00) and statistically significant, indicating that GSCM practices account for 68.4% of the variance in environmental performance. The study concluded that manufacturing companies should adopt GSCM as a critical strategy for sustainable initiatives, which can contribute to a company's competitive advantage and overall profitability.

The current research has been done to provide a cause-effect model of the factors affecting the fundamental competencies of human resource managers in service start-ups using the Dematel approach. The research method is descriptive-survey with the statistical population of 12 experts, including university professors in the field of human resources and human resources managers and experts of service start-ups in three systems: Snappp, Tapsi and Maxim. At first, based on the research background, the factors affecting the fundamental competencies of human resource managers in service start-ups were determined, and then the DEMATEL technique was used as an approach to identify the cause-effect relationships. Then, with the method of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), factors were prioritized in three taxi order systems. The results of this research showed that vision, leadership, and information technology have been identified as effective causal factors, and the Education and knowledge management, organizational culture, corporate communication, and rules of the organization have been identified as impressible factors. The results of the hierarchical analysis also showed that information technology has the uppermost priority in the Snapp and Tapsi taxi request system, but in the maxim system, vision and strategy receive the uppermost priority.

The producer can warehouse the perishable items and reuse them in the production line by creating an appropriate cooperation relationship and sharing information related to demand and stocks in order to provide the field to save money, reduce the environmental population, and use natural resources less. Therefore, it is also necessary to use the concept of the supply chain of perishable items in the supply chain. In this study a new approach will be provided to develop the agility of the supply chain to establish an integrated and agile supply chain to create an informational and operational linking bridge between different sections of the supply chain. Hence, a multi-objective mathematical model will be presented considering the maximization of the level of agility, the minimization of the perishing of goods, minimization of the time of distributing goods by systemizing the retail distribution system and since the agile supply chain model is considered as difficult problems, Epsilon- Constraint method and Benders Exact Solution method will be used to develop this research. Benders method is a decomposition algorithm that creates smaller sections of agility in solving the model by decomposing the mathematical model. First, the model is evaluated, and a problem is designed to assess the performance of the proposed model, and it is solved by using GAMS and CPLEX solver. Then the validity of the provided model is analyzed by the approach of the meta-heuristic algorithm Moka.

In emerging nations like Ghana, unemployment has grown to be a serious worry for graduates. According to this perspective, the majority of graduates are recommended to start their own businesses rather than wait for positions from the government. This paper aims to examine the entrepreneurial intentions among University students, using variables such as Motivation, Family Background, Entrepreneurship Education and External Factors. This is a cross-sectional study where the results were based on the outcomes of a survey among the University of Cape Coast, school of Business students (n=130). Inferential statistical procedures such as the Pearson Product-Moment correlation test, Multiple Regression and Stepwise Regression Analysis were used to assess the study's specific aims and tested the four main hypotheses. The results indicated that all variables but Family Background positively influence students’ entrepreneurial intentions and that Motivation is statistically significant in analyzing the factors that significantly affect the students’ entrepreneurial intentions. Hence, more emphasis should be based on motivating the students both within and outside to enable them develop entrepreneurial mindsets. The study suggests that policymakers should focus on encouraging student entrepreneurship as it will be a proper management to deal with the severe unemployment issue in emerging countries, especially Ghana.

In this paper we summarize a voluminous body of prior economic, social and political science research that tells us about the roots of corruption in public sector of developing countries. Informing the analysis is a "review of reviews" of a sprawling research that examines six indicators: government size, oil revenue, democracy, quality of bureaucracy, rule of law, and human development; that are assumed to be major factors in increasing or decreasing the level of corruption in developing societies. We discern from this formidable body of research what is known about causes of corruption, what is left to know, and how useful the prior research could become panacea for encountering administrative corruption of developing countries. Finally, based on research findings, suggestions for future research are presented

Non-government hospitals have to deal with many corporate and individual clients. Therefore, the hospitals require employees of all levels. Recruitment and selection are the process of attracting and hiring the suitable candidates. Hospital authorities are always concerned with selecting the best candidate for vacant positions. Judgment sampling is used and opinions of human resource professionals are recorded. Non-parametric one sample Wilcoxon Signed Rank test is conducted on the data collected from the human resource departments. The study finds that lack of qualified and experienced candidates is a major challenge in employee recruitment. It is realized that misrepresentation of qualities and varying salary expectations of potential employees creates difficulties in selection process. It is also evident that there is deficiency of training for hiring process for the recruiters. The study is limited to kinds of instructions and cannot emphasize the policy of confidentiality of the organizations in some cases. More research about the challenges might help the different organizations regarding hiring process. The study has helped the non-government hospitals to identify major challenges in the recruitment process. It has highlighted the factors that need to be focused on hiring new employees.

This study investigates the effect of organizational characteristics, knowledge management infrastructure and entrepreneurial orientation on job communication satisfaction in Atieh Sazan Hafez Company. The research was conducted by selecting 102 employees as the statistical sample. The analysis of the present study was performed using the structural equation modeling technique. The results of the analysis of the hypotheses indicated that organizational characteristics help positively and directly with the dimensions of knowledge management infrastructure and entrepreneurial orientation and job communication satisfaction. Efficient and motivated human resources play an important and fundamental role in increasing the effectiveness of any organization. Many factors need to be considered when it comes to human resource welfare. One of the key factors in this area is job satisfaction. Government agencies operate in a complex environment with increasing demand. In such an environment, many factors can increase or decrease people's job communication satisfaction. Today, organizations find themselves in situations where the tendency toward entrepreneurial activities is essential. Therefore, organizations should create conditions in which the atmosphere and spirit of entrepreneurship prevails and individuals can engage in entrepreneurial activities of the organization individually and in groups. Entrepreneurial orientation is a strategic advantage that is realized in the study of opportunities and organizes these affairs in order to take advantage of these opportunities.

The purpose of this study is to highlight and call for more research into whether higher education institutions (HEIs) senior management teams are positioned as empowered leaders of change to coercively as well as persuasively implement an alternative online teaching and learning platform, disrupting existing institutions for the benefit of its major stakeholder, students amidst COVID-19. This study used a qualitative meta-analysis method to combine previous qualitative studies to develop deeper meaning through an interpretive process, signalling that more research in this area is required. We argue that the senior management teams in HEIs are influential actors and change agents and have the potential to significantly contribute to institutional work. In addition, we discovered that institutional entrepreneurship has limited research in the study of HEIs and depicts the opportunity to explore the concept of agency and institutional work in the context of HEIs. This study makes a good impression and emphasises the need for future research, particularly on senior management teams at HEIs, to reflect their institutional work in the formation of institutional changes witnessed in the HEIs' virtual classroom platform.

The increased knowledge about environment and decline in reservoirs of fossil resources has led the industry to enhance and produce other sustainable fuels by using renewable, which are environmentally acceptable. Biofuel is a kind of fuel derived from biomass resources. Biomass is also the source of fossil fuels that are used today; however, this biomass has been formed over long years. The reduction in fossil fuel resources and the destructive effect of these fuels on the environment have made researchers replace such resources. Therefore, the extant study presented a multi-objective mathematical model for a biofuel sustainable supply chain, by consideration of demand uncertainty. Finally, the research developed the mathematical model considering uncertainty and using Bertsimas and Sim Robustness Approach. According to the proposed model, sustainability objectives were discussed and investigated, including economic, social, and environmental issues. Ultimately, the presented model was confirmed by using the epsilon constrained method (ε constrained method) and the model was validated using the integrated ε constrained-Benders Approach.

There is a huge opportunity for foreign entrepreneurs to enter the Chinese market. They have noted that the market is difficult to enter and complex to navigate. This study contributes towards filling this gap by identifying the critical success factors for foreigners in China, basing on entrepreneurial cognition and opportunity recognition theories. 128 entrepreneurs in China were surveyed through semi-structured interviews. Their responses were collated and analyzed using graph theoretic matrix approach to identify and rank the factors with the most influence on their business success. The factors with the greatest influence on the success of foreign entrepreneurs are government policies and funding. Government policies towards innovation through financing for technology companies and the demographic make-up of the consumer population provide the greatest opportunities for foreigners. By understanding the most crucial success factors and the role of cognition in opportunity recognition, entrepreneurs and managers can derive meaningful insights into strategic choices regarding doing business in China. This study addresses a grossly under-researched topic of global entrepreneurs in China. Not only is there a large number of foreigners living in China, but they also find great difficulty in adjusting to the cultural scene and this affects business outcomes. Furthermore, GTMA is a highly scientific method that the authors show is valuable in social science research, particularly entrepreneurship research

The environmental considerations have gained increasing attention both from industry practices and academic research over the past three decades. Selection and cooperation with appropriate suppliers have become strategically important in the cosmetics' industry, too. There are various publications concerning green supplier selection and evaluation in general. However, a review on the supplier selection literature focusing on cosmetics industry shows a poor attention to "Green" criteria. Hence, the novelty of the paper is concentrating on this question: what are the most important criteria for "Green" evaluation and selection of the suppliers in the "Cosmetics" industry. Due to the inherent uncertainty in subjective opinions of the industry experts, the Fuzzy Extent Analysis and Delphi methods were applied. Finally, this study aims at identifying and prioritizing the supplier selection measurement indicators with environmental concerns under uncertain conditions in the Iranian Cosmetics Industry. The preferences of experts over the attributes were gathered using a pairwise comparison-based questionnaire. The hierarchical clustered representation of the four main attributes; Quality, Risk, on time delivery, environment; and their importance weights were achieved as the result of the study.

The influence of transformational leadership (TL) on employee turnover intention (ETI) in SMEs is explored in this research, including the mediating and moderating function of affective organizational commitment (AC) and job embeddedness (JE). Data was obtained from 456 workers of SMEs using convenience sampling. The numerous associations were estimated using Smart PLS structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). The study's findings indicate that transformative leadership and ETI have a negative and substantial association. Consequently, AC and JE mediated the association between transformative leadership and employee turnover intention. Lastly, the transformative leadership and employee turnover connections are favorably moderated by job embeddedness. To improve JE and AC and reduce employee turnover, SMEs should implement transformational leadership abilities such as developing a compelling vision for the workforce, fixating on goal attainment, having conflict approaches, a feeling of belonging, and interacting on staff professional development. Leaders should employ transformational leadership traits include creating a vision statement for employees, emphasizing on desired outcomes, implementing challenge solutions, having a purpose and direction, and devoting time to team professional development.

The data were collected through a questionnaire and composed 219 individual investors. In order to achieve the objectives of the research, the method of structural equations modelling for direct hypotheses and hierarchical regression for indirect hypotheses were used. The results showed that emotional intelligence has no significant effect on risky investment intentions. In contrast, it was found that risk aversion can have a significant negative impact on risky investment intentions. It was also determined that the locus of control has no effect on risky investment intentions. The structural equations modeling is based on discover complex relationships between variables. Using this method helps to identify hidden relationships between components. Hierarchical regression method can also be useful to find the effects of variables. In this research, these two techniques have been used.

Generally, the purpose of this study is to extract leadership indicators at the time of crisis and specifically, to identify the most effective indicators during the corona crisis. In the present study, a mixed-methods approach (qualitative and quantitative) has been used. In the qualitative part, the research approach is exploratory, and in the quantitative part, it is descriptive-survey. In the qualitative phase, initial data was obtained from reviewing the literature and coding of previous researches and data analysis was performed using a theme analysis method in Maxqda 2018 Software. In the quantitative phase, to prioritize the themes obtained from the literature review, they were given to 10 leaders of active international corporations in the form of AHP questionnaire. Finally, using Expert Choice Software, the weights of the data were calculated and they were all prioritized. Our investigations have shown that the indicators of crisis leadership can be prioritized as strategic awareness, empathetic communication, analytical thinking, facilitation skills and flexible guidance. The current research is the first one conducted with this approach, especially in Iran, and its results can also be considered by managers in other organizations as well.

Robi Axiata Limited (Robi)—a multinational cellphone operator—got the nod for the ever-biggest initial public offering (IPO) from Bangladesh's regulatory body on 14 October 2020. The IPO process ended on 24 December 2020 through its debut on the country's two stock exchanges. Based on both primary and secondary data, this study intends to depict the 23 years strategic journey of Robi till its IPO. Robi's IPO was oversubscribed by 5.75 times compared to its counterpart telecom giant Grameenphone by 3.5 times. Beyond the most common motive of settling the loan, network expansion was the only motive for Robi's IPO. The IPO enabled the company to reduce its corporate tax and create a positive brand image among stakeholders. Before the IPO, rebranding from AKTEL into Robi and its merger with Airtel were two major turning points. The merger contributed significantly to the company's market share and overall performance, which ultimately led the company to raise the largest-ever amount from the capital market through IPO.

This study aims to identify the factors affecting productivity management and rank its improvements within government service organizations. In terms of the type of data, this is a descriptive, applied, and inferential survey, and it is both qualitative and quantitative. This paper follows a three-step process. The theoretical sampling method was thus used to select a sample of 15 productivity experts from within the university and managers from government organizations in Tehran province for semi-structured interviews. It is a specialized sampling method. The interviews were analyzed using NVivo Plus software. Additionally, 102 items were derived from the interviews, based upon open coding, and classified into 21 sub-indexes and two main indices. As part of the second stage, the quantitative aspect of the research, Shannon Entropy, was used to determine the importance of various factors affecting productivity management. The third stage of ranking productivity improvement strategies in public service organizations utilized the MABAC method. The results showed that the indices of accountability, work experience, interdepartmental challenge, expertise and skill, flexibility, interdepartmental communication, training, workload, structure transparency, information and communication technology, organizational culture, safety and health, research and development, leadership style, innovation, and creativity, respectively, gained the highest degree of importance among the factors affecting the productivity management of government service organizations. Further, research findings indicate that improving service efficiency, improving service standards, improving service effectiveness, developing a program to improve service productivity, encouraging leadership involvement, and establishing periodic monitoring are the most effective strategies for improving productivity in government service organizations.

Firms, regardless of their nature, are focused on improving their quality. Different factors have been identified by the previous researchers that influence the employee performance (EP). Work-life balance (WLB) is encouraged as an inclusive policy, directed at all workers to achieve a more harmonious balance between their work responsibilities and their personal responsibilities and interests. This study offers new insight into the implications of regulatory changes on the organizational policies related to WLB for improving EP from a developing country like Bangladesh. The main purpose of the study is to investigate the interfacing relationship between WLB and EP in the private commercial banks in Bangladesh. This study reviewed previous literature to find different empirical and theoretical contributions in establishing WLB and EP. The study mainly used a quantitative research method to explore the current scenario of WLB, identify the factors that affect the WLB, and finally measure the level of impact of the WLB on the EP in the banking industry of Bangladesh. Total 325 bankers were selected conveniently from different branches of the top ten selected banks. SPSS and smart PLS were used to analyze data. Descriptive statistics and SEM analysis were employed in the study. This study argues that when there is an association among the factors of WLB, there is the likelihood that the EP of the organization will be improved. Hence the study concludes that the banking industry needs to improve WLB position, which will ultimately improve organizational performance through EP.
