This paper investigates the impact of diversification strategy on firm performance. The paper looks into three dimensions of diversification strategy in terms of staff, product and geographical presence, using return on asset (ROA) and return on equity (ROE) to proxy for financial performance. Using the fixed effects regression estimation method to analyze the data of 30 Iranian insurance companies in the period from 2012-2021, the article finds a significant positive impact of diversification in terms of staff education on ROA, while the relationships between staff diversification in terms of gender and experience with ROA are significantly negative. No significant relationship is found between diversification in terms of geographical presence, insurance policy, and premium with ROA. When ROE measures financial performance, the research reports significantly positive effects of diversification on ROE in terms of education and insurance policy. In contrast, the relationships between diversification in terms of gender and premium with ROE are found to be significantly negative. Meanwhile, the effects of diversification on ROE in terms of geographical presence and experience are insignificant. The paper contributes to the literature on diversification strategy by developing specific models to measure staff, geographic and product diversification strategies in the insurance industry. It also adds to the literature on the diversification-performance nexus by bringing fresh insight into the multiple dimensions of diversification strategies and their impacts on firms' profitability.

In the last two decades, research on investigating factors influencing the consumer repurchase intention has advanced and become an important topic in the marketing society and literature. The objective of this paper is to compare the weight of service providers’ personality traits and service quality performances they provide to uncover the primary factor influencing a clients’ intention to revisit their beauty salon in a long-term relationship. The SERVQUAL model of service quality and Mini-Marker model of personality were employed to substantiate the hypothesized relationship. Based on 453 valid respondents from beauty salons’ visitors, empirical finding remarkably indicate that the hairstylist’s personality was the primary reason for clients to revisit beauty salons. The results demonstrate that the factors such as agreeableness, intellect, conscientiousness and extraversion respectively have been prioritized as the most effective reasons for re-visitation in the view of customers. From the service quality side, the dimension of tangibility is ranked as the first reason to revisit the beauty salon. Overall, the outcome of this study can be applied to beauty salons’ management process in the line with building a strong long-term customer relationship and in return sustain profitability.

The subject of “participatory” and “observing” societies in the area of politics and society throughout the world is associated with the topic of “people participation in determining destiny” and “monitoring the performance of government and states” and this has been studied since many years ago from the perspectives of sociologists and lawyers in their specialized aspects. The significant issue prior to the study and dealing with the subject of people supervision over the performance of governments is that to the extent that the circulation of information is done freely, and also to the extent that the volume of information transferred among the people (either through websites, news agencies and governmental media or through social networks) is greater, to the same extent (not only the promotion of people’s information rate towards issues around them in the society and quality of their perception of the incidents will be deeper but also the sense of peoples’ participation and responsibility acceptance vis-à-vis society and other citizens and hope in determination of their destiny will increase. So, in this article, efforts have been made to provide a clear elaboration of the subject of “people participation” and its connection with the “supervision over the performance of governments and rulers” and the necessity of this supervision from the viewpoint of Islam and scientific theories.

The current research investigates the role of free zones in the development of tourism. For this reason, it firstly studies the tourism status in the World, Iran and the Kish Island, illustrates the history, goals and functions of the free zones and investigates the pros and cons of free zones in the development of tourism. A documentary and library research method was used to conduct this survey. The results implied that free zones, particularly Kish, can attract tourists to satisfy the economic goals as it has mentioned in the Law of Free Zones and the National Economic, Social and Cultural Plan. Each of these zones has unique characteristics which are suitable for the achievement of these goals. Establishment of international exhibitions, sport stadiums, theater halls, modern cinemas, equipped hotels, shopping malls, and hospitals and health centers can be considered by the managers in this island.

The present study aims to investigate the effective variables of knowledge management in food exports in Iran. A new model was designed in this research on the basis of achieved statistical data from production associations and export firms. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was applied to assess the impact of effective variables of knowledge management in food exports. Suggested model of the research is comprised of eight dimensions which are as follows: specialized relations, coordinated knowledge, knowledge tools, organizational knowledge, knowledge process, knowledge chain, knowledge hardware, and knowledge feasibility. Target population of the study was consisting of 57 production associations which export food from Iran. The sales staffs and business departments formed the target population, and 317 questionnaires were validly obtained to test the research model. Exploratory factor analysis and Amos software were utilized for modeling. This study indicates that knowledge management is positively effective in the process of food exports in Iran, and all effective factors of knowledge management significantly affect the efficiency and performance of exporting. Eight-dimensional model which is suggested in this research introduces a practical strategy of evaluating the effective factors of knowledge management in food exports.
