This research paper is aimed at highlighting various controversies created by certain global marketing and advertising practices by several organizations including leading multinational corporations. Before showcasing the actual controversial marketing campaigns and advertisements, this article deals with introductory aspects of marketing and advertising , the impact of marketing on customers’ behaviours and offers an overview of global marketing. This paper describes the marketing mishaps including Pepsi’s advertisement campaign featuring Kendall Jenner, IKEA’s Saudi Arabia product catalogue, Audi’s car commercial in China, Dove’s social media campaign, Boden’s catalogue and more recent Surf Excel India’s Holi advertisement. All these campaigns and advertisements landed the respective companies into controversies drawing serious public flak and online uproar against them. This article also largely examines the underlying causes behind these controversies and offers broad guidelines and thumb rules to avoid such controversies. Finally, this research article concludes by summarily outlining the key contours and takeaways of the entire research paper.

This study is carried out to analyze cultural diversity factors influencing employee satisfaction in a joint venture electric power company operating in Indonesia. Quantitative research method is used to process this research, and collects and analyzes data base on questionnaire. The respondents of questionnaire are distributed in the company. The number of respondents are 100 persons which are employees of the company gathered by convenience method of non-probability sampling techniques for sampling design. Based on the output of SPSS 16.0 multiple regressions analysis, this research found religion, language and age have significant influence on employee satisfaction, while gender has no significant influence on employee satisfaction in the company. The result of this study is expected to help company have a better understanding on cultural diversity in an organization and cope with it.

The current research paper looked into the concept of organizational individualism and collectivism and its effect on managing change. This paper focused on the factors underlying the concepts of individualism and collectivism that influence change to take place or be resistant to it altogether. Our capacity and capability to change is very important in any organization because change is what helps us to survive. Culture is one of the landmarks to adaptability. Since change happens at different levels in the organizations, the benefits and drawbacks from individualism and collectivism are explained. Moreover, a discussion on the application of these two strong cultural views in particular organizations is made to show if research depicts well on the cultural factors that influence organizational change.

Organizational change refers to the transformation of an organization from its current state to its desired future state. Organizational change helps to maintain a competitive position as well as the companies’ sustainability in a competitive market. There are different kinds of leadership styles that have strong relationships with the growth of change. This research reviews the different leadership styles, including commanding, supportive, inspirational, logical, transformational, transactional and servant. Different leadership styles take up different kinds of roles and use different actions when implementing organizational change. In conclusion, this research concludes that different changing processes require different leadership styles.

Due to the technology cultured in today’s world, the learning process has started to change. Student nowadays are persistently required to do some transformation in gaining knowledge. Concerning to this, a considerable Knowledge Management (KM) are important so that students are expected to gain the capability of managing their knowledge and to achieve their superior performance. As the consequence, Knowledge Sharing (KS) process will be subsist, as KS is a part of KM. By implementing KS, students will share their knowledge better with their friends in a diligence ways and platform. Two research objectives were addressed in this research that is to examine how culture affect knowledge sharing among Information Management Undergraduate Students’ in UiTM Johor and to investigate the behaviours of Information Management Undergraduate Students’ in UiTM Johor when sharing their knowledge among colleagues. This study use quantitative method to collect and gather the data in which Probability Sampling that is Unrestricted or Simple Random Sampling are chosen as the Sampling Techniques. The researchers are able to collect 70 percent of the distributed questionnaires. Findings show that knowledge sharing activities does exist in UiTM Johor. This study proposed some changes in attitudes and behaviors, trust and innovation, top management support, strong relationship between academicians and students and lastly, rewards to reinforce knowledge sharing behaviorsas the recommendation to the organization.
