In this rapidly changing environment, organizations need to preserve their competitive position by committing to corporate governance practices and facilitating learning capabilities. This study aims to investigate the influence of corporate governance on competitive advantage through organizational learning at different Jordanian industrial companies listed on the Amman Stock Exchange. In order to evaluate the relationships, a questionnaire with 52 Likert scale items is designed based on previous studies. The questionnaire is distributed randomly to the top and middle managers working at Jordanian industrial companies registered on the Amman Stock Exchange. The collected data are analyzed using multiple linear regression tests along with Baron and Kenney’s approach to finding that all factors of corporate governance significantly impact competitive advantage and that organizational learning partially mediates the relationship between corporate governance and competitive advantage. The study can fill the literature gap by exploring the mediating impact of organizational learning on the relationship between corporate governance and competitive advantage.

To determine the sample in this study, the stratified random sampling was used and the sample size based on Cochran's formula was 113. Data analysis was performed with Smart PLS and for statistical analysis, structural equation modeling and T-value test were used. The results indicated that knowledge creation process had a structural and significant positive impact on organizational innovation and an indirect impact on organizational innovation through organizational learning capability). Furthermore, that knowledge creation process had a structural and significant positive effect on organizational learning and organizational learning had a structural and significant positive impact on organizational innovation. Present study aims at investigating the relationship between organizational learning and employees’ empowerment. Organizational learning consists of such components as structure, strategy culture, and perspective based on Neefe’s theory while employees’ empowerment is considered based on introduced components by Spritz including effectiveness, significance, meritocracy, independence and trust. Present study is conducted by a descriptive survey and its population consists of management and employees in Qom Maskan Bank selected branches. In this research, 120 questionnaires were distributed by layered random sampling method and finally 100 ones were returned and analyzed. To gather data, the first questionnaire involves 12 items based on Neefe’s components while the second one (employees’ empowerment) involves Spritz indices that their validity can be supported. Chronbach’s alpha value is used to measure reliability as 0.93 and 0.94 for organizational learning and employees’ empowerment respectively. To analyze research data in SPSS and Amos software packages, such techniques as Spearman correlation coefficient, regression analysis and structural equations are used. The findings support research conceptual model and show that there is an association between organizational learning and employees’ empowerment.
